Summer is approaching - it's time for the movies! The most popular format for open-air cinema - "Summer Cinema in the Park" - returns in Plovdiv for the third consecutive year with a special selection of films.
 
From 1 to 19 July 2020 you will be able to enjoy titles from Bulgarian, European and American cinema. The open-air screenings will take place at some of the favorite urban locations of Plovdiv residents and guests - Tsar Simeon's Garden, Nebet Tepe, Youth Hill, the park near the Rowing Canal, the park near the Covered Bridge on Maritsa River, Rosarium Park, Park Lauta and Rotary Park - Trakiya.
At the very beginning of the cinema marathon we will be able to see the Bulgarian title "In a Circle", which, like the first film in the trilogy of Stefan Komandarev, has already won a large number of awards and distinctions. Apart from him, there will be two screenings of Niki Iliev's film "Return", in which the great Stefan Danailov played his last role. The third Bulgarian title in the program is the exceptional story of the journalist Vessela Toteva, played by her daughter in the film "Dose of Happiness".
This year's "Summer Cinema in the Park" poster also includes the latest adventures of the popular French tv series - "Taxi 5", the Italian film not recommended for children under 16 - "Love Therapy", the comedy - "The Cop from Belleville", the Argentine film - "The Secrets of Kietwood", the exceptional incarnations of Juliette Binoche in - "The One I Am Not", and Liam Neeson in "The Last Stop". In addition, we will be able to see the sequel to the American film with Sylvester Stallone "Impossible Escape" - "Impossible Escape 2: Hades".
The screen on which the films will be projected in your favorite urban locations is the size of a two-storey building, and the professional projection and sound system is a guarantee for a unique experience.
All screenings are from 9 pm, and before each of them we will watch specially selected from short films from "Cinema". Therefore, we recommend that you come earlier and take your seats in front of the screen on time.
Entry to the screenings is absolutely free, you are only required to bring something to sit and in a good mood to enjoy a unique summer cinema experience under the stars of Plovdiv!
