XI IF "Days of Music in Balabanov House" continues with iconic concerts in three consecutive days
After the glamorous start of the Days of Music in Balabanov House with a recital by the world-famous opera prima Krassimira Stoyanova, followed by a concert of famous baroque soloists, the elite forum continues with three events dedicated to different lines in its program policy.
On June 26 at 18:30 h (6.30 pm) in the Small Earlychristian Basilica the festival will celebrate the 75th anniversary of NUMTI "Dobrin Petkov" (one of the authoritative schools in the country, with which IF "Days of Music in Balabanov House" has partnered extremely fruitfully for a decade) with a piano recital of the graduate Nikolay Marinov - one of the most prominent graduates of NUMTI, already accepted as a student in London in the fall of 2020.
The festival and the Musicartissimo Foundation have been playing an important role in the professional growth of Nikolay Marinov for many years, by including him as a soloist and chamber musician in a number of representative concerts, master classes, international tours. The talented pianist, a student of the famous teacher Svetlana Koseva, has won first prize in many national and international competitions, including "Grand Prize Virtuoso" - London, "Nikolai Rubinstein" - Paris, "Mozart" in Rome, "Simone Delbert-Fevrier ”In Nice, two-time winner of the American Protege - New York and many others. He has performed in concert programs on the stages of Carnegie Hall - New York, Royal Albert Hall - London, Opéra de Bastille - Paris, played as a soloist with the Sofia Philharmonic, Plovdiv Philharmonic, Stara Zagora Opera, Sliven Philharmonic, Round Rock Symphony Orchestra - Texas , Barlasina Philharmonic - Italy. He has participated in the master classes of Dmitry Bashkirov, Itamar Golan, Julian Martin, Boris Slutsky, Jason Quack and others. Nikolay Marinov is a three-time winner of the Award of the Ministry of Culture, awarded for high creative achievements.
On June 27 at 18:30 h. (6.30 pm) for the eighth time in a row at the Roman Stadium will be held the emblematic for IF "Days of Music in Balabanov House" "BIG CHILDREN'S CONCERT", dedicated to young talents.
The always surprising and original project, whose innovative scenarios are invariably "up to date", this year is held under the title "10 years of jazz for children", in honor of the wonderful initiative of the virtuoso trumpeter Ventzi Blagoev "Jazz for children", which received wide publicity over the past decade. The famous band "Jazztet" takes part in the concert, which will launch the continuity in the art of improvisation in the face of the youngest jazz musicians.
The unique voices of the vocal formation "SVETOGLAS" will be heard on June 28 at 18:30 h. (6.30 pm) in Balabanov's house.
With its magnetic stage presence, its diverse program and original reading of the tradition, the SVETOGLAS quartet ranks among the most famous and beloved Bulgarian folklore formations. The quartet was formed in 2009 by Daniel Spasov and Milen Ivanov - soloists of the world-famous choir "The Mystery of the Bulgarian Voices". He is one of the first Bulgarian male vocal ensembles, aiming to promote the richness and beauty of the ancient Bulgarian male church and folk singing.
The quartet has numerous concerts in Bulgaria and around the world, recording regularly for BNR and BNT. Beauty and mysticism, polyphonic sonority and resurrection of the heritage of one of the most ancient musical cultures - these are the musical worlds illustrated by the vocal formation "SVETOGLAS".
IF "Days of Music in Balabanov House" - winner of the label "European Festival 2019-2020" of the European Festival Association, is part of the Cultural Calendar of the Municipality of Plovdiv and is supported by the Municipality of Plovdiv, Musicartissimo Foundation, Ministry of Culture .

The festival is held in accordance with all current anti-epidemic measures of the Ministry of Health of Republic of Bulgaria at the time of the events.
