Tourism Council - Plovdiv and the Municipality of Plovdiv announce new dates for the Parade "Wine and Gourmet" - June 27 and 28, 2020, again among the unique atmosphere of the Old Town of Plovdiv.

Let's catch up with the postponed events with one of the most pleasant and liked by the people of Plovdiv - Wine and Gourmet Parade. Postponed from May, now on June 27 and 28, 2020 we will have the pleasure to try again the combinations of good wines and culinary gourmet!

Where? Of course again in Old Plovdiv… The warm rays of the sun, the greenery of the trees, the beautiful colors of the colorful courtyards, the mysterious attractiveness of the Revival houses create the most cozy atmosphere for the culinary experience!

Winemakers will present their wines, and restaurateurs will select the most suitable dishes for them at the specific locations you will find.

This will be the sixth edition of the Wine and Gourmet Parade! The opening of the festival will take place on June 27, 2020 (Saturday) from 13:00 at the beginning of the Old Town (the stairs of the Church of the Holy Mother of God). The tastings are on Saturday /27.06./, from 13:30 to 20:00, and on Sunday /28.06./ from 13:00 to 19:00.

15:30 - 16:30 h. (3:30 - 4:30 pm) - WINE - ART THERAPY
Unleash your imagination, decorate your festival glasses and take part in the competition for prizes for the most attractively painted wine glass.

18:00 - 18:30 h. (6 - 6:30 pm)- YOGA WINE WITH FAM
A favorite combination for our wine lovers. Again, you will practice yoga balance with a glass of wine in hand.

21:00 h. (9 pm) - "EVENING OF AWARDING"
Cocktail and official awarding of the participants in the tasting competition for the best combination between wine and food.

On the first day of the festival there will be a competition with prizes for the most attractive SELFIE WITH "WINE AND GOURMET" 2020! 13:30 - 14:00 h. (1:30 - 2 pm) - LECTURE/PRESENTATION ON THE TOPIC COMBINATION OF WINE AND FOOD
With the participation of Chateau "KOPSA", dairy products "ROZHEN" and the lecturer Prof. Yordanka Aleksieva from the University of Food Technology - Plovdiv.
GHG EXHIBITION "GEORGE BOZHILOV ELEPHANT"

15:00 - 15:30 h. (3 - 3:30 pm)- "THE CURVED CIVILIZATION"
Etude of the Hand Theater. Become a direct witness to scenes from the original everyday life of the Bulgarians during the Revival era, presented with a lot of crazy humor.

On the second day of the festival, look for "Kings and Queens of Wine" at the festival locations. Take a picture with them and with the syllables of "Wine and Gourmet" that they will carry with them. Upload the photos on your Facebook account and tag yourself from the event: Wine and Gourmet Parade in Plovdiv 2020. A draw will determine one winner from those who managed to collect the full name of the festival. The organizers have prepared a well-deserved award.

During the two days of the festival, follow the cobblestones for a MOBILE PHOTO CORNER, in which to seal your wine emotions.

The tastings are against tokens / 1 token = 1 tasting /. From each location you can buy:
• 4 TOKENS - BGN 3.
• 12 TOKENS - BGN 9.
• GLASS WITH HOLDER and 8 TOKENS - BGN 12.
• GLASS WITH HOLDER, 8 TOKENS and BRANDED BAG FOR 2 BOTTLES OF WINE - BGN 16.

Culinary temptations are offered at prices between BGN 1 and BGN 5 at each of the locations.

Who will judge whom? A jury of experts will give their assessments of the professionalism of the participants. Visitors will also be an arbitrator. Their evaluation will be based on questionnaires and the number of tasting tokens collected by each participant.

The awards of the expert commission for "The most skillful combination of wine and food" of the restaurants and wine producers, participants in the event, will be presented during the "Evening of the awards".

The organizers of the gorge are "Tourism Council - Plovdiv" and the Municipality of Plovdiv in active cooperation with Ancient Plovdiv Municipal Institute and the University of Food Technology - Plovdiv, catering companies, and all participants in the wine business and institutions related to culture and art. in the city.
