On 08.12.2016 Plovdiv's mayor Mr. Ivan Totev gave away the Annual Awards for Achievements to members of Union of Plovdiv Artists. Every year, on the eve of Christmas holidays, one of the oldest associations in Bulgaria organizes a large-scale exhibition. The ceremony took place last night at 32 Gladston Str. Among the guest at the ceremony were Amelia Gesheva the deputy mayor of culture and tourism of the Municipality of Plovdiv and Kiril Velchev the head of the board of directors of “Culture and cultural heritage”. The event was inaugurated by Snezhana Furnadzhieva, the head of the Union of Plovdiv Artists. The special award was constituted last year by the initiative of Eng Ivan Totev with the mayor’s own funds. The winners received honorary certificates and monetary awards which were provided by the Municipality of Plovdiv.
