Plovdiv took part in Bulgaria-Italy Tourism Forum
On 6th July in Sofia Bulgarian Minister of Tourism Nikolina Angelkova and Italian Minister of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism Dario Franceschini opened a Bulgaria-Italy Tourism Forum.
The forum was organised by the Bulgarian Ministry of Tourism in partnership with the Italian Embassy to Sofia, the Confindustria Bulgaria, and the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria. It was focused on topical issues of the bilateral cooperation connected with the development of different forms of tourism, as well as the business connections between hotel and restaurant keepers and tour operators of the two countries. The event was attended by Sofia Mayor Yordanka Fandakova, Deputy Mayor of Plovdiv Stefan Stoyanov, Deputy Minister of Tourism Irena Georgieva, Italian Ambassador to Bulgaria, President of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria, Director of Confindustria Bulgaria, Chairperson of the Bulgarian Hotel and Restaurant Association (BHRA), President of the Confindustria Alberghi, and others.
At the forum Mr. Stoyanov presented the opportunities of Plovdiv as a tourist destination.
