Plovdiv is the only city- partner from Eastern Europe that is included in the project which is lead by the University of Cambridge, Technical University of Munich and Polytechnic University of Milano.
 

The idea is that the university teams build a plan of governing the so called smart cities. It is about unified systems that help and optimize the management of the municipalities and add to it transport systems and energetic efficiency systems. The point also is improving the quality of air in the city and decreasing the fine little dust particles in the air.

By participating in the project Plovdiv will obtain ready-made systems for optimizing the administration's work. Specialists from Cambridge are to visit Plovdiv to investigate the urban surroundings on site.
