Comedy Festival
The Summer Comedy Festival will conquer the Plovdiv stage with a four-day celebration of laughter and fun. The event will start on August 22 and conclude on August 25. It will take place in the auditorium of the Boris Hristov House of Culture and at Comedy Club Plovdiv, which is also located in the Boris Hristov House of Culture. The main show each evening will begin at 8:00 PM, but everyone is welcome throughout the day as the organizers have provided a diverse daytime program.
The event gathers a large number of comedians. It will offer: stand-up nights, creative workshops on public speaking and writing stand-up comedy, interactive games, a photo corner, and many other activities. Among the names who will take the stage are Ivan Kirkov, Petya Kyupova, Niki Bankov, Vasil Nozharov, Alexander Deyanski, Nikolaos Tsitiridis, Emo Yotsov, and many others.
The Comedy Festival began in 2014 in Sofia when producer Ivan Kirkov brought the best stand-up comedians from Bulgaria and around the world to one stage for the Bulgarian audience. Today, the Comedy Festival is an annual event held in five cities across the country. It is the largest stand-up forum in the Balkans and one of the favorite traditions for true fans of Bulgarian stand-up comedy.
