The Georgian State Song and Dance Ensemble "Mkhedruli" visits Plovdiv with its most stunning performance

The incredible Georgian state song and dance ensemble "Mkhedruli" will delight the Bulgarian audience with a summer tour of the country, with one of its top performances "Spirit of Georgia"

It is no coincidence that the beginning of the tour is planned at one of the most delightful places - the ancient stage of the Ancient Theater in Plovdiv. The concert is the culmination of the International Folklore Festival in the city, which every year gathers the color of dance art and culture from several continents.

"The Spirit of Georgia" will be performed at the Plovdiv Ancient Theater on August 1, 2024. It starts at 8:00 p.m. Entrance is with tickets, which are already on sale in the entire network of Eventim and Grabo at prices from BGN 30 to BGN 60.

After Plovdiv, the tour continues on the stages of "Summer Theater" - Stara Zagora, Sports Hall "Vasil Levski" - Pazardzhik, Hall "Orlovets" - Gabrovo and will end in "Bulstrad Arena" Ruse.

The Mkhedruli State Song and Dance Ensemble is one of the most attractive and masterly ensembles in Georgia. It was founded in 2002 in the Adjara Autonomous Republic of Georgia, in the city of Kobuleti. It has more than 20 years of history and rich experience and is at the peak of its fame and recognition. The head of the ensemble, Badri Tsetkhladze, is a People's Artist of Georgia and a famous choreographer.   

Since 2011, Mkhedruli Ensemble has the status of "State Song and Dance Ensemble". It receives high recognition for its professional performers of folk dances not only in Georgia, but also abroad in Turkey, Ukraine, Italy, Greece, Czech Republic, Austria, France, Germany, and in 2016 the Georgian ensemble "Mkhedruli" made a stunning tour in China, where it performed 31 concerts that were a roaring success and full halls.

The show with which the ensemble will tour in Bulgaria is called "The Spirit of Georgia". It is one of the most successful musicals presented in Georgia. Georgian dances have no analogue. It has been proven that it is necessary to be born Georgian in order to convey all the soul and sophistication of every movement. "The Spirit of Georgia" tells about the country, its history, its legends, the love for God, for the woman, for the mother, about how bitter it is to fight and how bright and kind the world can be. The Bulgarian viewer will be captivated by the masterful interweaving of Caucasian plots, incredibly stunning costumes, fantastic lighting and sound.

Organizers of the tour in Bulgaria are the promoter company "Top Stars Events" EOOD and the "Friends of Folklore" Association. The concert in Plovdiv takes place with the support of the Plovdiv Municipality.
