Plovdiv presents its cultural heritage at the tourism fair in Belgrade
IFA – Belgrade is an international tourism fair in Serbia and is ranked as the largest tourism event in the country and Southeast Europe. It’s designed for both the general public and professionals in the industry. It takes place every year in late February.
Bulgaria was represented at the 36th International Fair in Belgrade (from 27th of February to the 2nd on March 2014) with an information stand with an area of 72 square meters. At the Bulgarian stands along with the Ministry of Economy, Energy independent desks presented ten travel companies and municipal governments, including the Plovdiv Municipal Enterprise for Tourism.
The other representatives of the exhibition were travel agencies and tour operators, organizations and municipalities, tourist centers, hotels and airlines.
At the Plovdiv desk, advertising materials have attracted the public by the city's rich cultural and historical heritage. Plovdiv' Municipal Enterprise for Tourism also extended an open invitation not only to the travel professionals from Serbia, but also to tour operators from countries neighboring Bulgaria asuch as Greece, Turkey, Montenegro, Hungary, and Slovakia to participate in the 4th International Meeting of the tour operators in Plovdiv, which will be held from the 14th to 18th of May 2014.
