Only 7 days left! Support Plovdiv for European Best Destination 2022!

There is one week left until the deadline for voting for the European Best Destination 2022 in the 13th edition of the prestigious European Best Destinations ranking. European Best Destination is a ranking of specially selected European cities with a rich cultural and historical heritage, sustainability and quality of life. Over the last 10 years, millions of Europeans have voted for their best destinations in Europe. Plovdiv is the only Bulgarian city that participates in the competition and is competing alongside 19 other magnificent cities, including London, Rome, Vienna, Istanbul, Athens, Prague, Ljubljana, Lucerne, Graz and others.

The Municipality of Plovdiv launched a campaign on social networks to promote the initiative and appealed to Plovdiv residents and friends of Plovdiv to vote and support our city. We are pleased to announce that many Bulgarian cities, the National Association of Municipalities in the Republic of Bulgaria, as well as the Ministry of Tourism, the Diplomatic Institute at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Association "Tourism Council - Plovdiv", all Plovdiv museums - Regional History Museum, Regional Archaeological Museum, Museum of Natural History, Ethnographic Museum, City Gallery of Fine Arts - Plovdiv and Municipal Institute "Ancient Plovdiv" and many others.

We also received support from Andrey Kovachev - Member of the European Parliament, Nikolina Angelkova, BG Radio, VIVACOM and International Fair Plovdiv AD.

Many famous Plovdiv residents and friends also got involved, some of them recording special videos or posting their calls for support, along with the "Vote for Plovdiv" thematic cover on their social media pages. Among them are the amazing Sonya Yoncheva, Maria Petrova, actors Hristo Mutafchiev, Teodor Darlyanov, Radina Dumanyan, Aleksey Kozhuharov, Stefan Valdobrev, the girls from 4 Magic and Note Quartet, Kerana and the Cosmonauts.
