Varna trumpet player Neiko Bodurov (1982) visited the PLOVDIV CHAMBER STAGE with his debut album NIKOBO, which was released in 2019 for the Dutch label Optomusic - https://optomusic.bandcamp.com/album/nikobo
Jazz improvisations, beats and electronics woven into the original compositions carry the spirit of the Nu Jazz style. A colorful mix of memorable themes, expressive improvisations and rhythms, to which the exceptional musicians who realized NIKOBO also contribute.http://www.nikobomusic.com.
After many years of study and gaining professional experience on the European scene, in 2012. Neyko Bodurov settled in his hometown of Varna. Contributes to the development of the local music scene, as a leader and instrumentalist in projects such as JazzProfilactika, The Varna Swing Orchestra Project, La Migra and others. Later he created his own project Bandwagon Acoustic (sextet). Neiko Bodurov is the main initiator of the International Jazz Day in Varna, for which he was awarded a diploma from the independent awards for culture and art Media AwARTs Varna 2018.
