French Week Festival

The French week, which precedes the 17th edition of the International Chanson Festival "Golden Key" - Plovdiv 2020, will be held as announced from 22 to 28 June (Monday-Sunday), but in a new, attractive place. The awning will be placed in front of the Boris Hristov House of Culture. There, Plovdiv residents will see many interesting events during the week and will be able to participate in raffles and competitions with prizes. (The symbolic opening is on Monday at 11:30 a.m.)
The International Festival of Chansons "Golden Key" - Plovdiv 2020 has no analogue in our country and is the largest Francophone music forum in the Balkans. It is organized annually by Alliance Française in partnership with the Municipality of Plovdiv. This is the second most important and large-scale Francophone event in Europe, after the one in Amsterdam, which gives us the opportunity to touch different cultures and all this through the prism of the French language.
Due to the anti-epidemic measures and the participation of guests from France, this year the Festival will be on stage, located on the south terrace of the "Boris Hristov" with concerts on 13 and 14 July - Bastille Day starting at 19:00 and a special studio on 15 July.

The musical partner of the Golden Key 2020 is the Art Voice Center, which is often called the "hatchery for future stars". The new Bulgarian talents, graduates of the school, will shine on the stage with French songs. We will hear and see impressive performances of Victoria Ilieva, who is only 10 years old, Aglaya Kaneva - 13 years old and Christian Pavlov - 15 years old, who will sing popular chansons with a special and original arrangement, made by the head of the school Rumi Ivanova . They will be joined by experienced stars - Iva Ichevska and Ivana Mutskova.
The winners of previous years - Klavdia Kitanova, Marina Spasova, Nadezhda Dimova from Moldova and Olga Vasilenko from Ukraine - will also sing at the concert on July 13. They work in Bulgaria and are already looking forward to coming to Plovdiv.
The festival will be opened by Deputy Mayor for Culture, Archeology and Tourism Plamen Panov. Traditionally, the opening will feature the anthem "Champs-Elysees", with a special jazz version, again made by Rumyana Ivanova performed by Ivana Mutskova, which will be joined by the talents of France "Jessandwest".
They will have a solo recital concert on June 14 - Bastille Day and will certainly enchant the audience with their performances, specially prepared for their participation in Bulgaria, and this concert will not pass without musical surprises. Among them will be the joint and memorable performances of the twins with Ivana Mutskova and Olga Vasilenko.
To continue this musical exchange, on July 15 there will be a studio of French talents for all participants from the Art Voice Center.
All events of the 17th edition of the International Festival of Chansons "Golden Key" - Plovdiv 2020 are free with free entry, as required by the format of this international event, and the Municipality of Plovdiv is a constant partner in the organization and conduct, as well as the largest Francophone TV5Monde.
