Plovdiv will host a National Orienteering Competition

Over 300 people from about 30 orienteering sports clubs in the country will take part in the State Championship and the accompanying competitions for the Plovdiv Cup.

The start is on September 25 with a sprint relay in the central part of the city and Tsar Simeon's Garden, the next day the competition is held in the Rhodope Park, and the final on September 27 is in the Old Town and on Knyaz Alexander Batenberg Street.
The award ceremony will take place at the Roman Stadium at 1 p.m.

Competitors of all ages take part in the orienteering. By running, they pass through a certain number of points in the shortest possible time, using a map and compass. The route is drawn on the map, which is the only source of information for the competitors.
