International festival "Plovdiv GuitArt Fest" 2020

Winners of guitar competitions start the GuitArt Festival in Plovdiv

The online concerts of Pavel Ralev (Bulgaria), winner of the GuitArt 2019 International Classical Guitar Competition and Mateusz Kowalski (Poland), winner of the EuroStrings 2019 Classical Guitar Competition, will take place on October 25, 2020 on the official Facebook page of GuitArt. and other streaming platforms.

This year's edition of the festival will be attended by five young guitarists, winners of the competitions of the festivals from the EuroStrings platform - Nino D'Amico (Italy), Maya Krali (Slovenia), Flavio Nati (Italy), Luis Alejandro Garcia (Spain), Cassie Martin (France), who will give master classes to young Bulgarian guitarists.

The master classes will be held on 29.10.2020 from 10:00 h., after pre-registration. Again on Thursday, from 17:00 h. they will also do an online concert, which will also be broadcast on the festival's Facebook and other streaming platforms. The evening will end with an online concert by the world-famous guitarist Anabel Montesinos (Spain), which will be broadcast to an audience at the Puppet Theater - Plovdiv from 19:00 h. Anabel Montesinos is a guest at the Plovdiv festival as Ambassador of the European platform EuroStrings, which is co-financed by the Creative Europe Program of the European Union for the period 2017-2021.

The next day (30.10.2020) Annabel Montesinos will also make an online Master Class with the five young guitarists of EuroStrings.

Friday's festival night will end with two concerts: from 19:00 h. "Guitar Masters" is a concert by Veselin Koychev and friends at the Puppet Theater - Plovdiv, and from 22:00 h. in Bee Bop Café will perform Tango Cats.

On Saturday (31.10.2020) from 10:00 h. another Ambassador of the European platform EuroStrings - Marco Tamayo (Cuba) will make an online master class and those interested must register in advance.

The evening will end again with two concerts. From 19.00 h. concert of Darko Bageski (Northern Macedonia) in Studio 1 of BNR Plovdiv and from 22.00 h. concert of Hot Club de Plovdiv in Bee Bop Café.

On Sunday (01.11.2020) from 10.00 h. The GuitArt 2020 International Classical Guitar Competition will also start on the festival's website, and the winners of the competition will be announced before Del Padre's final concert at the Hall of Culture "Boris Hristov".

The winner of the competition, in addition to a cash prize, will also receive participation in the one-year EuroStrings exchange program, which is implemented in accordance with the basic curriculum of the platform. During the online competition, there will be a lecture for the young artists of EuroStrings, which will introduce them to various means and ways for their successful presentation at festivals, competitions, professional behavior and more.

From 19:00 h., after announcing the winners of the competition and awarding the prizes, a big concert will be made by Del Padre, who will celebrate their 10th anniversary on stage.
