With unique fireworks-music-and-light show, a concert stage and a lavish sports activities programme the Plovdiv 2019 Foundation will celebrate the end of a dynamic and rich in events summer and the fifth anniversary of the awarding of the title European Capital of Culture.
The main summer highlight of the programme coincides with the end of the holiday season, again turning the attention of citizens and guests to the great wealth of the city – the Maritsa River. Its natural pull in the summer heat is turned into an experience with a spectacular show on one of the bridges in the city centre.

A special "fire picture" will illuminate the sky above the river after 10:30 p.m., using 23,000 pyrotechnic charges going off at a height of more than half a kilometre. The show will be in the hands of Enigma Fireworks, the company responsible for the magical illuminations during the Plovdiv 2019 kick-off show in January.
The event will begin at 11 a.m. featuring sports activities organised in partnership with 360, a Bulgarian media company offering opportunities for adventurous way of life. For the brave there will be opportunities for 2-metre-high jumps onto a huge inflatable jump cushion. Zlatko Ganchev, a free runner and stunt professional, and his colleagues will perform stunts jumping from a 4-m-high elevations.
Professional balancing act artists will slackline at a height of 10 metres above the water. At 11:30 a.m. is the start of an air acrobatics show of three paragliders. The professional pilots Petyo Kyurkchiiski, Ilia Tanchev and Dimitar Boyadzhiev will be circling the area from above.
Starting at 6 p.m., for three hours the guests will be able to observe the city and its surroundings from a hot-air balloon that will be floating in the air at a height of 80 metres. Simultaneously, swing artists from Lindy Hop Plovdiv will be entertaining dance enthusiasts at the Swinging by the River Social Dance show.
Some favourite Bulgarian performers — Mihaela Fileva, Grafa and Lyubo Kirov — will come on stage at 8 p.m. for the River Feast show.

12:00 p.m. – 12:20 p.m. – Freerun show on an inflatable cushion (professional demonstrations of stunt jumps)
6:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. – Inflatable jump cushion (non-professionals invited)
5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. – Swing dancing with Lindy Hop Plovdiv, “Swinging by the River Social Dance” (non-professionals invited)
6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. – Flying with a hot-air balloon over the river (registration required). There will be a total of 13 flights, weather permitting. Thank you for your interest and desire to be # together. The preliminary reservation is now closed. In less than 3 hours, over 60 people enrolled.
