“To Her, with Love! Emil Dimitrov” - the musical production which touched hearts, captivated minds and brought thousands of people to their feet in Sofia, Varna and Burgas, is on the next leg of its journey to meet Her - the audience.
The ARTIST and his STORY
“To Her, with Love! Emil Dimitrov” is the captivating story of an artist, whose life was music, the stage his home and his biggest love – his audience.
He sang over 400 songs and created Bulgaria’s first hits. During the Iron Curtain era he gave Europe 10 hit songs. He sold over 70 million records and was the first to perform in front of an 80,000-strong audience at one of his concerts in the 1960s.

You may recognize the name but not know the story of the ARTIST
The production tells of Emil’s last dream, to meet Her – his audience, one last time. On the journey to Her, in flashbacks the narrative chronicles a life filled with happiness and pain, victories and hardships, fame and solitude.
MUSIC in the PRODUCTION
The production features16 of Emil’s unforgettable songs, performed by actor Daniel Tsochev; they weave through the story and weave a story of their own. Audiences have the privilege of listening to Emil’s songs performed live for the first time by a symphony orchestra and the effect is spellbinding.

The HARMONY of MUSIC, THEATER and FILM
An impressive visual combination of short cinematic clips, interspersed with sharp live-feed close-ups of the actors on stage. The result is a grand and extremely effective visual display, a novel experience for audiences, seen for the first time on the Bulgarian stage.
THE PRODUCTION TEAM
The touching story is written and produced by Nelly Benova, founder of OXYMORON FACTORY. The performance is tastefully directed by theater actress Snezhina Petrova. The distinctive and gripping stage and costume design in black and white is the work of Svila Velichkova. Maestro Hristo Pavlov conducts the Sinfonietta orchestra and band. Graphic designer Vladislav Iliev is in charge of the short films and digital visuals throughout the performance.
