22-nd International Folklore Festival - Plovdiv, 2016
An unforgettable fairy of light and rhythm will be presented by dancers from six countries, who will recreate the beuty and uniqueness of their folklore in the period from 1st to 5th of August.
Traditionally, the festival will take place at the Ancient theatre. The full program is available below:
Monday, August 1
5:30 p.m. Parade from Levski Hall to St. Stambolov Sq. (The building of Municipality)
6:30 p.m. Open-stage concert at Stephan Stmbolov Sq. with the attendance of Ensemble Trakia and folklore ensembles from Greece, Italy, Mexico, Romania, Serbia and Hungary.
8:00 p.m. Official opening of XXII International folklore festival - Plovdiv, 2016 - Ancient theatre
Tuesday, August 2
5:30 p.m. Parade from Levski Hall to St. Stambolov Sq. (The building of Municipality)
8:00 p.m. Concert at the Ancient theatre with the participation of ensembles from Italy, Mexico, Hungary and Ensemble Elika
7:00 p.m. Parade and concert in Asenovgrad with the attendance of ensembles from Romania, Greece and Serbia.
Wednesday, August 3
5:30 p.m. Parade from Levski Hall to St. Stambolov Sq. (The building of Municipality)
7:30 p.m. Parade and concert in Hisarya with ensembles from Hungary
8:00 p.m. Concert at the Anceint theatre with Folklore Ensemble Trakia, ensembles from Greece, Italy, Romania and Serbia
Thursday, August 4
5:30 p.m. Parade from Levski Hall to St. Stambolov Sq. (The building of Municipality)
8:00 p.m. Concert at the Ancient theatre with ensembles from Italy, Mexico, Greece, Hungary, Folklore Association Karakachani-Trakia, ensembles from the Balkan Folklore Festival
