The Archaeological Museum holds the record for incomes and visitors

Thirteen of the most valuable Bulgarian treasures will be gathered for an exposition in Plovdiv. Among them are the Panagyurishte treasure, the Rogozen treasure, the Valchitan treasure and the Varna Halcolite treasure. As well as that, some symbolical items from the Medieval and Revival period will be exposed. 

“We are going to start the preparations for the exhibition in the first few days of the New Year.”- shared the director of the museum Mr. Kisyov. He also explained that the museum holds the record for incomes and visitations. By now, these treasures have been exposed in Japan, Paris, London, Rome and Athens.  Some items from Plovdiv were exposed this year during the exhibition in the Louvre. 
In 2016 the archaeologists will start massive excavation in the area of the Bishop’s Basilica and Nebet Hill. The items discovered will be added to the collection of the museum.
