- VISUAL INTERPRETATIONS OF FAMOUS CITIES
Twenty Bulgarian designers tell us which are their most favorite cities in the world - in poster format. The project is curated by Anna Simeonoff, founder of Plakatkombinat – a platform promoting good practices in poster art.

The exhibition was first shown in London in December 2014, when it premiered as part of the third London Festival of Bulgarian Culture at the Bulgarian Cultural Institute.

The show features 33 visual interpretations which offer different viewpoints to the question of what constitutes the most emblematic image of a city – the one that makes it instantly recognizable by the viewer, regardless of the visual approach. On the map of Favourite City we see the outlines of Sofia, London, Berlin, Beirut, Nice, Marseille, Paris, Rio de Janeiro, Tokyo, Seoul, Varna and more. The posters were created by some of the most outstanding Bulgarian contemporary artists - Milena Valnarova, Marieta Tsenova, Kokimoto, Ivan Gazdov, Yasen Zgurovski and Philip Popoff among others.
