Chamber Scene Plovdiv invites residents of Plovdiv and guests of the city to a special musical event on November 17, Sunday, at 7:00 PM in the First Studio of Radio Plovdiv.

The violinist Eugeniy Chevkenov celebrates this year the 30th season of his creative activity in Vienna with a special concert program entitled "My Vienna". Together with the enchanting pianist Véronique Teruel, he offers the audience a unique perspective on the colorful kaleidoscope of the music capital of the world.

Eugeniy Chevkenov has a remarkable career with the public as a soloist in the most prestigious halls in New York, Tokyo, Seoul, Mexico City, London, Vienna, Paris, Prague and many others. The city of Vienna, considered the "center of Europe" has been sought after and chosen as an artistic home throughout the centuries by musicians from both the West and the East. This is also the specific case, because Veronique is French and Evgeny is Bulgarian by birth. Not only in the time of Mozart, Beethoven, Mahler, Schoenberg, but also today, this magical city shelters, unites and forms exceptional works, making them precious parts of your musical mosaic, which remains unsurpassed in beauty and variety and without analogue in the whole world.

On the podium of the Plovdiv Chamber Scene on November 17, the great fellow citizen, recipient of some of Austria's highest honors, among which are "Honorary citizenship for extraordinary achievements as a musician and special services to the country", appealed by the government of the Republic and the Mayor of Vienna and the state title "Professor" with a named decree of the President, will lend us a hand on an exciting journey.

Together with Maestro Eugeniy Chevkenov we will  poss by the winding small streets, through the palaces and temples of the award-winning Mecca of classical music with a boutique-curated selection of his favorite violin works by Viennese masters. The program includes works by Mozart, Schubert, Beethoven, Brahms, Kreisler.

Tickets for the "My Vienna" concert are sold at Eventim.bg, as well as on site before the event. Chamber Scene - Plovdiv is realized with the support of the Municipality of Plovdiv and is part of the Cultural Calendar of the city for 2024.
