"Worldview" - exhibition by Tsvetomil Semkov

Have you ever read a text when your mind starts to paint pictures and images evoked by the words?

The "Worldview" exhibition makes this strictly individual experience shared for everyone who visits it.

Tsvetomil Semkov undertakes the extremely delicate task of presenting his "Worldview" through poetry and the pictures he paints in his mind. He spent months reading hundreds of poems and poems. After a long selection process, he comes to only a few works that he shares with the public. Each of them reflects an important topic for him, which is a building block for the way the author looks at the world.

Tsvetomil does not stop there. For each verse, with the help of the most modern technologies, he carefully builds an image.

In it, the emotions and feelings evoked by the text find visual expression.

The result is a deeply personal experience that, through the words of the poet and the pictures created by the artist, allows you to look at the world in a new and unexpected way.

"Like any student, in high school I had to read and study literary analyzes almost by force. I believe that the main reason for this discrepancy is the lack of life experience. At such an age, we have not yet dipped our feet even up to our knees in experiences, let alone swimming deeply alongside the thoughts of people who have dedicated their lives to the idea of truly expressing their inner "self" through words.

Ten years later and after a certain amount of accumulated wisdom, I decided to dive in and try to find myself in Bulgarian poetry, driven mainly by my fascination with the mastery of expressing your innermost thoughts in a handful of words filled with meaning. Each poem is like a small universe collected on a piece of paper.

The goal I set for myself was extremely ambitious - to see myself and my sense of the world in the final selection of images and poems. To hold hands with minds expressing themselves to express myself.”

"I am a visual artist, born and raised in Bulgaria. Increasing my curiosity about the world and making it the main driver of my life was the starting point of an incredible journey. By continually refining our thought and vision, we have the chance to reach our full potential and truly create meaning in our lives. My inner drive is rooted in travel and finding glimpses of incredible beauty, calm, and order amidst the chaos, intertwined with mysticism and wonder.

The ways in which I constantly reinvent the world, whether existentially, logically, or through the power of imagination, are science and art. I believe they are incredibly similar manifestations of the mind, as both are rooted in discovery. The main difference is that one uses the path of logic, while the other dives deep into our feelings and sensations, which definitely do not follow a straight path. The process of creation for me involves the act of breathing in the outside world and breathing out my interpretation of it. Both actions are essential to creating truly personal and original work.”
