"Poor France" (original title: Pauvre France!) by Jean Cau

A foggy autumn Parisian morning, the sounds of an old French accordion, the noise of the Seine and the smell of freshly baked croissants, some taxi brakes are blowing ... Victor Tabure, a merchant from the French city of Limoges, arrives in Paris to visit his son Michel Tabure at his quarters to inform him that his mother had fled with his uncle to the Alps. Mr. Tabure's only hope is to gain the trust of his son. But instead Victor, will receive another surprise in his life - the news that his son is homosexual. And Victor's acquaintance with Michelle's "girlfriend" - the charming Jose Pilet, makes this moment dramatic for the characters and twice as comical for the audience.
This is a comedy about the clash of generations, sexual orientation, values, ideals and love in its various forms and dimensions ...
