Born as Mario Ranno, he discovered his love for music as a child, listening to various musical performances together with his father - the singer Stefano Biondi, from whom, as a sign of respect, he later took his stage name.

Mario Biondi's rich life experience helped shape him to his current status as a global soul music star. He sang in church choirs, was a studio singer, at the same time he studied music and English, which he raised to a perfect level.

Mario was born in Catania, Sicily, and it is not difficult to guess that he has been a fan of soul music since he was a child. In 1988 began to open the concerts of big names, including the legend Ray Charles. His big break came with the Japanese release of the single This Is What You Are, reached out to popular BBC1 presenter Norman Jay, who fell in love with the song and distributed it to radio stations across Europe.
