Chamber Scene Plovdiv invites Plovdiv residents and guests to a very special event. With concerts of young and talented performers, the popular platform launches a new line in its annual program - Chamber Stage Plovdiv JR.

On Thursday, September 28, at 7 p.m. in the First Studio of Radio Plovdiv a concert will be performed by the Presto Ensemble - one of the remarkable chamber formations of the National School of Music and Dance "Dobrin Petkov". The founder and artistic director of the ensemble is the percussion teacher Pencho Penchev, who was awarded the Crystal Lyra 2022 - an award of the Union of Bulgarian Musicians and Dance Artists for his work as a teacher. Presto Ensemble is composed of Alexander Vichev - soloist, Agleya Kaneva (vocals and percussion), Zhivko Ivanov (drums), Ira Ilieva (vocals and percussion), Veselin Stefanov (percussion) and Anton Kostadinov (vocals and percussion).

In the program we will hear works by world composers with unique arrangements for percussion ensemble - Dave Brubeck, Gene Kosinski, Otto Wit, Nebojša Živković, Nikolay R. Korsakov, Pancho Vladigerov, Heng Liu, Ray Charles, John Cage, Aram Khachaturyan, Petko Gruev Stainov, Georgi Obretenov.

Chamber Scene Plovdiv is supported by the Municipality of Plovdiv and is part of the city's Cultural Calendar for 2023. ENTRANCE IS FREE!
