Comedy European Film Festival - CEFF'23
16 films within 10 days are part of the official program of the third edition of the European Comedy Film Festival - CEFF 2023. Traditionally, the festival is held in the art cinema of Plovdiv LUCKY House of Cinema. 12 of them are new titles from Europe, and the program also includes 4 classic titles by the legendary, London-born British comedian, Charlie Chaplin.
The programme includes titles from 5 European countries - France, Belgium, Spain, Italy and Hungary. An expert jury will evaluate 5 of the titles that are part of the competition programme and give the festival's grand prize. The jury includes comedian Robin Kafaliyev, legendary actress Maria Statulova and TV presenter Stefan Shterev.
The audience will also be able to give an award for best comedy. This will be done in the traditional way - by audience voting after each film. In total, there are 12 titles in the programme, most of them from Italy - "The Best Days", "It's Never Too Late for Love", "The Prince of Rome", "The Worst Days" and "I Forgot". From Belgium we will watch the funny "H4Z4RD", and from Hungary - "We Started Together" about friends from school reunited after many years. A Spanish-Argentine title immerses us in the tango with lots of laughs in "Let the Dance Begin".
Three strong French titles are also part of the festival - "True Life" with Danny Boone and Charlotte Gensbourg, the fun with a group of nuns "Dear God!" and the romantic "Process of Peace and Love".
The European Comedy Film Festival will run from 29 September to 8 October, after which there will be an additional programme. Tickets will be on sale at the LUCKY House of Cinema ticket office - every weekday after 4pm and on weekends from 10:30am to 9pm, and online at kinolucky.com. The festival is supported by the National Film Center.
