European Cheerleading and Baton Twirling Championships

From 6 to 8 October Plovdiv will host the European Cheerleading Championships. It will be attended by 1,240 competitors from 16 countries in Europe, who will show their skills in eight qualifying rounds and three age groups.

The most attractive among the disciplines are freestyle pompom performances, various jazz and hip-hop choreographies. Participants will compete for three days from 08:00 to 20:00 at the Kolodrum.

The official opening of the event will take place on October 5 at 18:30 with free admission to the public at the Ancient Theatre. The Plovdiv ensemble "Sedenchitsa" is also invited to participate. Earlier at 17:00 in the Meeting Hall of the Municipality will also take place a meeting with the presidents of the national federations and Deputy Mayor Anesti Timchev.

Cheerleading is the newest Olympic discipline, which has gained great popularity in Bulgaria in recent years.

The organizers of the international tournament are the Bulgarian Cheerleading Union and the Sports Club "Seven Storms" Plovdiv. The event is held with the financial support of Plovdiv Municipality.
