Chamber Scene Plovdiv invites Plovdiv residents and guests to an exciting concert of three delightful ladies Monique Chao-piano, Victoria Kirilova-bass and Francesca Remiggi-percussion, making up the popular Subconscious Trio. The event will take place on Friday, September 1, at 19.00 in the First Studio of Radio Plovdiv.

Although coming from different parts of the world, the paths of Monique Chao (Taiwan), Victoria Kirilova (Bulgaria) and Francesca Remiggi (Italy) cross for the first time at the Milan Conservatory. Since its foundation in 2015, their Subconscious Trio has participated in numerous concerts, events and festivals, including Jazz a la Petite France (Strasbourg), Firenze Jazz Festival, Empoli Jazz, Kultursommer (Vienna), Lucca Jazz, Wenshui Art Center(Taipei),Jazzmataz(Genoa).

Participation in the Chamber Scene Plovdiv is part of the summer tour of the ensemble, including concerts in France, Italy, Austria and Taiwan.  

The eight compositions on Subconscious Trio's album, Water Shapes (Da Vinci Records, 2021) were written and arranged by the three musicians. The album explores the many layers and moods of personality: contemplation and intuition; energetic extrovertedness and moments of solitude - just like the many facets of water.

The trio's music is a colourful mix of different influences, always seeking balance: from traditional to more contemporary approaches; from art pop musical nuances, to Eastern musical heritage - Bulgarian, Taiwanese, Indian and Italian music - the subject of all three musicians' musical explorations.

Chamber Scene Plovdiv is supported by the Municipality of Plovdiv as part of the city's Cultural Calendar for 2023.
