Photo Salon Plovdiv is held for the tenth consecutive year under the patronage of FIAP, HPS, NSFA and with the traditional support of the Municipality of Plovdiv, as part of the Cultural Calendar of the city.

The official opening in front of the public of a selection of the awarded photographs and the award ceremony will take place on 19.08.2023 at 18:00 in Plovdiv at the Roman Stadium Square. The exhibition features 144 award-winning photographs by 107 authors, from 23 countries. The exhibition can be viewed until 15 September.

The big news for Bulgarian photography, and at the same time a pleasant surprise, is that for the second year the Best Author in the Salon, who receives - the official light blue badge of FIAP is a Bulgarian - Yavor Michev, EFIAP.

The best photographs won 196 individual awards, 11 awards (by statistics) for authors and 3 for photo clubs. This rich prize fund, awarded the highest honors to the works of a total of 133 authors from 29 countries.

The "Best Salon Participation Award" plaque from the Photographic Society of Greece (HPS) in turn appreciated the participation of Abishek Bisak, AFIAP, EFIAP, HON.CPE, A.NPS , IIG/P, HON.PESGSPC, IIG/S2,A.CPE from India. The plaque for the best performing foreign author (by the organizer) was won by Josef Hinsherleettner, EFIAP, MVÖAV from Austria. Plaques were also awarded to Julius Vassilev, EFIAP/s, who is the best Bulgarian author and Minko Mihailov, EFIAP/s, who is the best Plovdiv author.

The highest award, the X IFS Plovdiv 2023 Cup is for photography by Mohamed Rimon, EFIAP, FBPS, EUSPA HON.FICS HON.PESGSPC from England. Plaque for the runner-up of the grand prize "Salon Cup" is for photography of Lyubomir Argirov, EFIAP.

This year, the Honorary Diploma of the Municipality of Plovdiv appreciated photography of Ivo Kuzov. Plovdiv 2019 Foundation Diploma is for photography by Sandra Zagolin, Italy. Diplomas from the V&Art Foundation are for photographs by Pavel Reband, Estonia and Rustam Rakhimov, Russia.

In the challenge for young artists (16-21 years), young people from Egypt, Russia, France, Hungary, Oman and Bulgaria took part. This year there were two incentive diplomas awarded by the organizers for one Bulgarian and one foreign young author.

The plaque for the best performing photo club, this year is again for the club from India - India International Group and two more plaques for two clubs - runners-up.

Yavor Michev, EFIAP from Ruse, Dimitrina Andreeva, EFIAP and Svetlin Yosifov, AFIAP from Burgas, Minko Mihailov, EFIAP/s and Yuliy Vassilev, EFIAP/s from Plovdiv were awarded with the most prizes.

A total of 42 native photo artists won 57 awards, 10 of which were medals - 7 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals.
