Glows over Havana
Come on July 27 at 6 p.m. in the Regional Ethnographic Museum - Plovdiv for the hottest event of the summer "Glows over Havana". The evening will be filled with the magic of enchanting photographs from Cuba by Snezhina Galabova, which will be on view until August 3, and the hotness of the musical style of Chungotrap with a concert by its creator Lando Lavara.

Lando Lavara (known as the Black Lion) is a Cuban rapper, producer, singer, composer and creator of the musical genre of changotrap, which is a symbiosis of the American urban trap style and Afro-Cuban folk music (rumba, conga, bembe). Through "Glows Over Havana", this fantastic musical extravaganza will transport us to the colorful world of the rhythms and dances of Cuba. The apogee of emotions will come with songs from his latest album "Bad Intentions".
Snezhina Galabova is a PhD in Ethnomusicology who created the first study of the Cuban music scene in Havana and London for the years 2010 - 2022, she has been visiting Cuba since 2015 and living in the Cuban capital since 2020. An author who uses different art forms to share stories, Snezhina publishes the poetry collection Whispers of Time and the cultural blog Cuba on the Road. This time, the author walks us through Havana through her lens, capturing the sunrises, sunsets and moments of Caribbean magic that will be experienced at the exhibition "Glows over Havana".
