On June 8, 2023 at 5.30 p.m. at the Regional History Museum - Plovdiv, will be held the premiere of the book "Honorary Citizens of Plovdiv", prepared by one of the most famous researchers, chroniclers and documentarians of Plovdiv history - Dimitar Raichev (Mimo Raichev), author and compiler of a number of landmark albums and books dedicated to our city, winner of the Special Award "Plovdiv" for outstanding achievements and overall contribution to the culture of our city in the current year 2023.

 "Honorary Citizens of Plovdiv" is a luxurious edition, full-color, richly illustrated, with many photos and biographical material, hardcover, superbinding and within 296 pages tells about all the honored by the decision of the Plovdiv City Council, honorary citizens of the city of Plovdiv, in the period from 1879 to 2023. Their total number from the beginning until today is 142 people.  

The presentation will be attended by Mayor Zdravko Dimitrov, the Chairman of the Municipal Council - Eng. Alexander Darzhikov, deputy mayors, mayors of districts, municipal councilors, public figures, representatives of scientific and cultural circles, some of the honorary citizens and their heirs, citizens and media.

A musical greeting to the audience at the beginning of the event will be given by the talented young violinist Viktor Vassilev, a graduate of the National Music Institute "Dobrin Petkov" Plovdiv, winner of numerous prestigious awards from Bulgaria and abroad, accompanied by Irene Kapelovska.
