There are many villages in Bulgaria that still preserve the authentic Renaissance spirit. They preserve the traditions, customs and livelihoods of the Bulgarians, keep the crafts, preserve our cultural and historical heritage. They are preserved by books, museums and scientific institutes, they are also preserved by the Library.

The first event, which will be dedicated entirely to books and stories about them, will take place this month in the Art Library Reading Room and is themed "Presentation and workshop about the book". It will be organized by Paisii Hilendarski University and Ivan Vazov National Library on May 11 at 2 pm.

The next meeting of the project is in partnership with the Regional Ethnographic Museum - Plovdiv, which will participate with an exhibition, a story about the baker's (coppersmith's) craft - one of the most well-developed crafts during the Renaissance in Plovdiv. Photographs will recreate the craftsmen's charcuterie, and below them in showcases there will be a continuation of the photographs with their real exhibits to create a complete perception.

To illustrate the stories of the crafts from previous events, the National Movement Workshop Sitting Room will host an exhibition of embroidery, lace and the tools needed to make them for five days, and each evening craftsmen will do workshops.
