Plovdiv Municipality and Hend Theatre invite Plovdiv residents to the first ever festival of youth theatre schools in the city of Plovdiv, which will be held between May 26 and June 3, 2023.

The glamorous opening ceremony is on May 26, 2023 , Friday, at 7 pm at the Hand Theatre, (18 Ruski Blvd.). The host will be the inimitable Ivanka Shekerova. Special guests for the opening will be the students of the 9th grade of the National High School of Performing and Screen Arts - Plovdiv, who will present the show "One by One".

Within three festival days, the graduates of the most outstanding theatre schools in the city will present their creativity, share experiences, create valuable friendships and contacts. They will receive information and opportunities for their future professional development. 

All Plovdiv citizens and guests can share the celebration of the young in the theatre by visiting the performances of the theatre schools in the framework of the accompanying program from May 29 to June 2 at the Hend Theatre. On June 3, creative workshops and professional meetings will be held, and at 20.00 is the award ceremony and closing of the festival.

The organizers of the new festival have set themselves the task to provide a field and an incentive for the expression and development of Plovdiv's theatrical hopes and invite everyone to immerse themselves in the magic of art and to support the young in their creative path.

The Festival of Theatre Schools in Plovdiv is supported by the Municipality of Plovdiv and with the assistance of representatives of private business, the Plovdiv Drama Theatre and the State Puppet Theatre - Plovdiv.
