Forest Week in Plovdiv

This year we celebrate the Week of the Forest in the period from 3rd to 9th April, when all foresters in the country will celebrate their professional holiday under the motto "Trust the forester".
On 8 April (Saturday) from 10:00 to 16:00, the Bulgarian Society for the Protection of Birds, together with the Regional Museum of Natural History - Plovdiv, the Executive Forest Agency and the Southeastern State Enterprise will celebrate the Week of the Forest in "Dondukov Garden", Plovdiv with a rich thematic program. 
The program includes:
Forest pedagogy
Making a medallion out of wood, creative activities, thematic puzzles and many games.
Experts from the Executive Forest Agency and the Southeastern State Enterprise will conduct forest pedagogy activities. The activities are suitable for kindergarten children and schoolchildren, during which they will learn about the importance of forest ecosystems and the role of foresters in their maintenance.
Everyone will be able to get acquainted with the work of the Bulgarian Society for the Protection of Birds and the conservation activities of the Lesser Spotted Eagle, Imperial Eagle and Egyptian Vulture and their habitats. In addition to information materials, films and presentations related to the work of forest experts will be presented during the event.
There will also be binocular and spotting scope observations of birds in the park and an interactive game about some of the widespread bird species;
You will also see the exhibition of photographs of species and habitats of the ecological network Natura 2000, which will be exhibited in the RSPB - Plovdiv from 1st to 8th April on the occasion of the International Day of Birds.
