The new edition of Art Positive raises the topic of the ecological in art, eco-sustainability, the relationship of man with the environment and conscious consumption in contemporary society.

The Art Today Association invites Plovdiv residents and guests to the opening of this year's edition of Art Positive - ECO , which will take place on Friday - 17 March at 18:00 in Kapana Gallery, 29 Raiko Daskalov Str.

"Art Positive" is a project strongly influenced by the topicality of the times and each year it sets tasks for the artists related to the conceptualization and embodiment of key themes of the moment. This is the 16th edition. Artists have complete freedom to express themselves through any format of contemporary art - video, installation, painting, photography, performance and so on. They work separately, but together as in a creative laboratory they install their works in the gallery space, which contributes to their inspiration and experience and enriches the overall artistic environment in the city of Plovdiv.

This year, Art Positive, besides raising the theme of eco-sustainability, connection with the environment and conscious consumption, will realize an exhibition that strives to have as little waste as possible (zero waste) and all the works in it to be mostly made of organic or recycled materials (recycle, up-cycle). In this way, in addition to reflecting humanity's own current need to "come back" and integrate a natural way of thinking, it also provides an opportunity to explore different practices in art related to a more ecological and limited way of creating and presenting the creative product.

The artists in the exhibition are : Velina Hristova, Gergana Tabakova, Dorian Pain, Du Xiaokun, Evgeni Mladenov, Evelina Nova, Emil Mirazchiev, Iva Vacheva, Ivan Ivanov, Nadia Genova, Osman Yuseinov, Raicho Stanev, Sarkis Nersesian, Sevdalina Kochevska, Sonya Mitova, Harita Assumani, Tsvetanka Bornosuzova, Tsvetelina Angelova, Yavor Kostadinov.

The project is supported by the Municipality of Plovdiv as part of the city's Cultural Calendar and the Goethe-Institut.
