The biggest international Francophone festival Francofolies returns to Bulgaria in June in Plovdiv!

Francofolies will welcome its audience at the Rowing Base on 16 and 17 June!

After a two-year hiatus, the Bulgarian edition of the largest international Francophone festival Francofolies /under the brand of the French festival Les Francofolies/ will take place for the 6th time in Bulgaria on 16 and 17 June this year.

In 2023, for the first time in Plovdiv, the huge stage of the summer festival will be built on the Rowing Base, there will be outdoor stages and spaces in the urban environment, including in the quarter of Plovdiv. Kapana, as well as in places far from the city centre.

Among the first big names to confirm participation in the Bulgarian edition of the festival is Imani. The French singer is coming back to Bulgaria, proof that Bulgaria is one of her favourite concert destinations. Elegant and mystical, Imani crosses different musical genres - folk-soul, blues-rock, hip-hop, funk, pop and classical with impressive ease.

The next popular name on Francoffoli's bill is LP, or Laura Pergolizzi. She was born in Long Island, New York, but has Italian roots. She loves men's suits, tattoos and has a super recognizable voice. But besides being a performer, LP is also a brilliant musician. He's written hits for big names in music like Cher, Rihanna, Christina Aguilera, Rita Ora and Backstreet Boys. Her song Lost On You shot her into the international hit firmament in 2015, and LP is coming to Bulgaria again with her latest album Churches.

Rap star Metr Gims is also coming to Francofoli in Plovdiv in June. Award-winning and with more than four million copies of albums sold, always hidden behind his famous dark glasses, he is one of the most successful artists on stage in France, as well as a producer and writer of original music. Over the past few years, Metre Gims has had duets with Sia, Pitbull, Lil Wayne, Maluma and Sting.

Another beloved European star joining the French festival in Plovdiv is Elena Paparizo - the Swedish singer with Greek roots is the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest, has 22 MAD Video Music Awards, an MTV Europe award and is an absolute favourite with the Bulgarian audience.

Besides them, on 16 and 17 June in Plovdiv, we will also see La Caravane Passe, Bon Entendeur and Shouse. Shouse are Ed Servis and Jack Madin, two friends who make original house music and occasionally - an international hit. Their live set features a mix of analog synths, drum machines and quirky instruments invented in Jack's dad's rustic shack. Their house pieces are notable for huge choral anthem moments and predispose for lots of dancing.

La Caravane Passe is a French contemporary music group brightly colored with gypsy and nomadic folklore from various countries in Eastern and Southern Europe. Formed in the late 2000s by singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Tom Fetterman, for La Caravane Passe music is a journey that brings the southern spirit of freedom and unstoppable celebration.

Bon Entendeur are Arnaud Bonnet and Pierre Della Monica and come directly from the sunny, French Riviera. They are a duo of friends and music lovers with a gift and a desire for continuous interpretations. Their music mixes versions of songs from the 60s and 70s with new concepts, legendary voices and original production.

Winners of 6 Latin Grammy Awards, Cuban reggaeton masters Gente De Zona are coming to Bulgaria for the first time. They join Imani, LP, Gims, Bon Entendeur, Shouse, La Caravane Passe and Elena Paparizo for the biggest Francophone festival in the world - Francofoli in Plovdiv at the Rowing Base on 16 and 17 June.
