The new service of the municipality of Plovdiv - PLOVDIV CITY CARD is an actual entrance ticket that saves time, effort and money.

From today, Plovdiv, the city chosen as the European Capital of Culture for 2019, became part of the CITY CARD tourist platform, distributed in more than 40 European cities.

PLOVDIV CITY CARD will make the city an even more preferred tourist destination. The city under the hills will offer its guests the convenience of visiting sights and having fun, only by means of an electronic card. 

The platform will provide free access to some of the most emblematic tourist sites of the Old Town: The Ancient Roman Theater, Balabanov House, Stepan Hindliyan House, Little Basilica and Zlatyu Boyadjiev Gallery along with the Natural History Museum, Philippopolis Art Gallery, Trakart Cultural Center and Trakart Research Center. The attractive package of services offers free entrances to museums and galleries as well as numerous discounts of -20% in popular pubs, shops, attractions and many more bonuses.

PLOVDIV CITY CARD is available in two basic versions - in the form of a standard plastic card or a mobile application. Visitors can buy it from the Tourist Information Center on 1 Rayko Daskalov Street (opposite the Roman Stadium). 

Currently the platform is available in Bulgarian and English with an options for 24 and 72 hours. The card can be purchased for an adult or an adult with a child under 18 years of age. 

The service is flexible, giving a choice for the duration it can be active - 24 or 72 hours, during which the user has either free access or the possibility for a discount to all the locations specified in the map. It is only necessary to show their City Card or smartphone at the entrance of the site, from which the administrator can scan the individual QR code serving to identify the user.

Users will also be able to benefit from the free mobile application that serves as a personal digital guide. Anyone who wants to get interesting and useful information about tourist sites in the city will be able to download it from Google and Apple stores at the start of the service.

PLOVDIV CITY CARD is not an ordinary tourist guide. This is a real entry ticket that saves time, effort and money.
