For the second year in a row, the "Look at You" festival brings together all the youth theater schools in the city of Plovdiv between June 7 and 15. Last year's first edition caused a real sensation in the city, and groups from all over Bulgaria, even from abroad, expressed their desire to participate in the future. However, the idea of the second edition of "Look at you" is for the festival to remain local, entirely Plovdiv, to gather, encourage and support the youth theater community in the city on the hills.

"Look at You" is made according to the Hollywood model and has a closed and public theater program. Immediately after the festive opening on June 7th, within two festival days, all young actors from the 11 Plovdiv schools will present their creativity and achievements to each other.

In the week of June 10-14, the Plovdiv public can enjoy the performances, which will take place in the "Hand" theater and have free admission. The last day, June 15, is set aside for meetings with representatives of higher education institutions that offer opportunities for the future development of the talent and dreams of young people in the theater. To help their professional growth, there will be a workshop on "Successful Casting" with the leader in the field Yordan Yosifov, and two of the most influential Plovdiv influencers will touch on the modern topic of art and social networks. The closing night is shaping up to be star-studded and promises many surprises that the organizers are still keeping under wraps.

"The support of the Municipality of Plovdiv and the two theater institutions in the city - State Puppet Theater and Drama Theater - Plovdiv is a huge recognition for the festival and young talents. This year, after an online vote by the audience, the most promising production will have the chance to be realized on a chamber stage in the Drama Theater - Plovdiv, in the 2024/25 season," said the organizers from the "Hand" theater and the "Red Nose" foundation.

They also extend deep gratitude to everyone who supports the event. "Because this is precisely the main purpose of the "Look at you" festival - to celebrate the magic of theater and art, to unite generations and institutions and create a connection between them. A similar symbiosis of warmth, sharing and support in art can only happen in a city like Plovdiv," added the organizers Hand Theater and Red Nose Foundation.

The "Look at you" festival is financed by the Municipality of Plovdiv and is part of the Cultural Calendar of the city for the second year in a row. It also takes place with the support of the State Puppet Theater - Plovdiv and the Drama Theater - Plovdiv and the financial assistance of Intercomplex, Andy Company, KCM 2000 Holding and Ataro Klima.
