Chamber Scene Plovdiv is inviting to its next event in the program for this season - a concert by James Wiley Trio. The event is on May 8, Wednesday, at 7:00 p.m. in the First Studio of Radio Plovdiv. The James Wiley Trio consists of: James Wiley - saxophone, Mihail Ivanov - double bass and Alex Louloudis - drums.

Renowned New Zealand saxophonist James Wiley, now based in Europe, brings his newly formed trio to Bulgaria for the very first time. The repertoire is a fusion of original compositions, drawing inspiration from Wiley's personal odyssey and deep dives into the traditional melodies of the Near East and the Balkans.

Joining Wiley are internationally acclaimed musicians Alex Louloudis and Mihail Ivanov, both household names in Bulgaria. Together, this trio offers more than just a concert—it's a captivating voyage through the vibrant expedition of Eastern musical traditions. Get ready for a fresh perspective on improvised music, straight from the soul of the Balkans.

Chamber Scene Plovdiv is implemented with the support of the Municipality of Plovdiv and is part of the Cultural Calendar of the city for 2024.
