Exhibition "Landscape"
The Ancient Plovdiv Municipal Institute in partnership with the City History Museum - Samokov present paintings by the famous artist Dimitar Hadjangelov. The opening of the exhibition is on October 1, 2023 (Sunday) in Balabanov House at 5:30 pm.
The exhibition is titled "Landscape" and the works impressively present the artist's preferred themes in his work - natural impressions and the beauty of southwestern Bulgaria with its specific look.
"The works have been worked on mainly over the last year. The old houses, mountain impressions and their colour reveal the timeless charm of realistic painting - something that seems to have been forgotten recently," says the artist.
The exhibition continues until 10.10.2023 with free admission.
Dimitar Hadjangelov was born in 1960 in Gotse Delchev. He is a graduate of the National Art School "Iliya Petrov" and the National Academy of Arts in Sofia, specialty "Ceramics". He has had 10 solo exhibitions in the country and has participated in a number of forums in Bulgaria and abroad. Dimitar Hadjangelov works in various genres - painting, ceramics, sculpture. His monumental projects are the monument to Vasil Levski in his hometown, the monumental polychrome mosaic "Gala Placidia" in the spa complex "Belchinski spring", the ceramic icons in the complex "Tsari Mali Grad", etc. Nature and Renaissance architecture from the Pirin region and the Rhodope Mountains are favourite themes in his work.
