Sculpture and watercolor in exciting contrast - joint exhibition of Vasil Margaritov and Dimitar Vodenicharov in City Gallery of Fine Arts - Plovdiv.
Famous Plovdiv artists Vasil Margaritov (sculptor) and Dimitar Vodenicharov (scenographer and painter) will again visit the City Art Gallery - Plovdiv with a joint exhibition from 5 to 22 September after their significant joint appearance 7 years ago, which brought them the Plovdiv Award in the Fine Arts section.
Vasil Margaritov will show his new sculptural works in steel and brass, while Dimitar Vodenicharov will present the audience with more of his virtuoso watercolours.
"Elegantly, aesthetically and with great skill, the applied watercolour corresponds as a counterpoint to the rusty patina and brass velvet shades and reflections. The urban landscape is a wonderful backdrop to the logically curved and rounded forms in the sculpture," says art historian Krasimir Linkov, Director of the City Gallery of Fine Arts - Plovdiv, about their joint exhibition appearances.
The exhibition opens on 5 September 2023 at 18:00 on the first floor in the Temporary Exhibition Halls.
