Workshop: Interactive Projection Techniques in the Performing Arts
State Opera Plovdiv

On September 6, Opera Plovdiv will host a specialized workshop aimed at students and professionals interested in digital art, interactive installations, video mapping projections, virtual scenography and more. During the training, methods for building multifunctional digital spaces and interaction between performers, environment and audience will be presented. Participants will have the opportunity to make comparisons between different software and hardware tools, as well as learn some techniques for creating interactive video mapping.
The presenter is Petko Tanchev Petko Tanchev - visual artist and scenographer at the State Opera Plovdiv.

Deadline for registration is August 27, 2023. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted by August 28th. The working language of the workshop is Bulgarian.
Technical requirements for participants are to have their own laptop or computer. The training will be conducted mainly with the TouchDesigner software platform. Participants should install the program on their work machines, for the purpose of the workshop the free version is sufficient (download link: www.derivative.ca/download). Prior experience with TouchDesigner and/or similar tools is recommended but not required. The presentation includes an introduction to the platform.
The seminar is part of the project "Laboratory for the development of new digital means of expression for the musical and performing arts" of Opera Plovdiv is implemented with the financial support of the National Culture Fund, Bulgaria under the "PROGRAMME FOR THE RECOVERY AND DEVELOPMENT OF STATE, REGIONAL AND MUNICIPAL CULTURAL INSTITUTES 22".
