SOLAR Plovdiv 2023
Rowing canal
After a musical and visual experience during SOLAR PLOVDIV 2022 with Armin van Buuren, Topic, Skepta and more, the Rowing Canal will once again be rocked. This time by the appearance of four selected names from the global electronic scene. In one night, on July 14, for the first time in Bulgaria we will see the Grammy winner, the legendary Afrojack. Along with him will be one of the most popular figures in house music, Fedde Le Grand. In addition to the headliners of SOLAR PLOVDIV 2023, YALTA CLUB also invites the "future of dance music", Laura van Dam, as well as the Brazilian artist with the hit single "Move Your Body", Öwnboss.
The selection of artists suggests that SOLAR PLOVDIV 2023 could become the event of the year. Seven hours filled with audio and visual pleasure will be experienced by thousands of fans on the Rowing Canal, and tickets for the massive show go on sale March 17, 2023.
Welcoming Afrojack to Bulgaria is something his fans in the country have been waiting for. As one of the world's most innovative and in-demand artists, the Grammy winner never stops pushing music in bold new directions. Since his breakthrough single "Take Over Control," the Dutchman has been laying the groundwork for hits for artists like Beyonce, Pitbull and Will.i.am. In the past few years, Afrojack was named one of the 50 most important people in EDM music by Rolling Stone, made Forbes' "30 Under 30" list, got his face stamped in the Netherlands, became the second DJ in history to cement his hands on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and had an epic performance during the Eurovision 2021 intermission that was seen by over 200 million people in 41 countries. In 2021, Afrojack made the worldwide hit "HERO" with David Guetta, which received a Grammy Award nomination the following year and has reached an impressive 50 million streams to date.
No less exciting is the emergence of Fedde Le Grand, who is a favourite with Bulgarian audiences with performances in the country that remain in the hearts of fans. Whether in the role of DJ or producer, FLG's influence is felt across the electronic landscape; he has won countless awards and remixed the world's biggest artists from Coldplay, Madonna, Robbie Williams, Everything But The Girl and Fatboy Slim to Shakira, Rihanna, Mariah Carey, Faithless and his own all-time musical inspiration Michael Jackson. He's been in the top half of the DJ Mag Top 100 for over a decade and has just returned to an incredible 22nd place, having first entered the same position back in 2007. Le Grand is here to stay and his return to Bulgaria is cause for euphoria among his audience of thousands.
Afrojack and Fedde Le Grand won't be alone, because behind the decks will be two other names who have made their way onto the world stage and who will make their debut in Bulgaria during SOLAR PLOVDIV 2023.
Brazilian Öwnboss is the artist behind the super hit Move Your Body, which became the fourth most streamed song in the world for the year, passing 600 million streams and was featured on the official soundtrack of the EA SPORTS FORMULA 1 game. In addition to his quality productions, Öwnboss has been a main stage guest on Tomorowlland, Lollapalooza, Creamfields and many more. Brazil's second most listened to DJ will make his debut in Bulgaria, as will the only female DJ for the evening, Laura van Dam. The rising star from Amsterdam already has contracts with progressive house labels such as Anjunabeats, DOORN, Epic247 and Armada Music, as well as live appearances at the biggest and most influential festivals and venues including Ultra, Sunburn Festival, Groove Cruise, Parookaville and Privilege Ibiza. She was recently invited by Armin van Buuren to play on A State Of Trance Radio, and in July Laura van Dam is coming to Plovdiv.
Tickets for SOLAR Plovdiv 2023 can be bought from Friday, March 17 at Eventim, YALTA CLUB, OMV, Grabo.bg and Ticketstation.bg at prices from 70 BGN for regular tickets and 120 BGN for VIP access.
