The play tells the tragicomic story of an elderly woman and her daughter, amid the everyday life of an ordinary Russian home. The mother is sick and awaits her near end, grieving that she has not yet seen her daughter married and surrounded by children. The daughter is also tormented by this situation and wonders how to instill faith in her mother that this will happen and she will live to see her daughter under a wedding. And decides to invent hope! It is this decision that sets off a bunch of funny situations and misunderstandings, and brings the game to a touching conclusion. This is how a romantic comedy is born, woven from laughter and tears, from humanity and kindness, from ingenuity and beautiful fantasy. Sometimes even a well-presented lie revives a person and inspires energy for life.
