The 186th anniversary of the birth of the Apostle of Freedom will be commemorated in Plovdiv with a pilgrimage to the monument of Vasil Levski on the central alley of Bunardzhika and the laying of wreaths and flowers on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at 10.00 am.

Vladislav Sevov - journalist at BNT Plovdiv, scriptwriter, presenter and cameraman - will deliver a speech. He has won several awards for his work as a journalist and documentary filmmaker. Winner of the Plovdiv Prize in the section "Journalism" for 2022.

Zlatko Pavlov will host the celebration. The ceremony is traditionally attended by representative units of the Plovdiv Garrison, a military brass band, wreath bearers, members of the Vasil Levski Municipal Committee and the Patriotism Committee.

The city-wide celebration of the 186th anniversary of Vasil Levski's birth will be attended by: members of Plovdiv's National Assembly, the Mayor of Plovdiv Municipality, the Regional Governor, the Chairman of the Municipal Council, the Commander of the Special Operations Forces and the Chief of Plovdiv Garrison, honorary consuls, municipal councillors, deputies of the Mayors and representatives of the Municipality and the district town halls, the Public Mediator of Plovdiv Municipality, representatives of political and social organizations, members of the Municipal Committee "Vasil Levski" and the Committee "Patriotism", citizens and media.
