About us:

Initially, the Chitalishte was founded within the Foundation for regional development “Roma – Plovdiv” under the name Chitalishte “Roma”. Later on, it was renames as Chitalishte Dimitar Peshev. The team is made up of representatives of different ethnic groups and specialist consultants. They dedicate their efforts to stimulating, fostering and preserving the cultural values of the communities that inhabit the residential area of Stolipinovo. The chitalishte offers library services, project activities and activities involving the local young people by organizing workshops and other cultural initiatives. The chitalishte is housed in a one–storey building and includes a library, reading room, study room and office. The hall is used for various cultural events, exhibitions and more. In good weather, the outdoor open space is used – a landscaped yard of 400 sq.m.
