The Youth Chamber Orchestra Frank Martin Players with a free concert on the stairs of Kamenica

On June 12 - Saturday at 19:00 h. on the stairs of "Kamenitza" Plovdiv residents and guests of the city will hear a wonderful concert of the Youth Chamber Orchestra "Frank Martin Players".

6 years ago a new musical formation was born in Plovdiv, initiated by Prof. Galina Vracheva - pianist and teacher in Switzerland. Children and young people from Plovdiv got a chance to improve their music skills in the Youth Chamber Orchestra, named after the famous Swiss composer Frank Martin.

Talented pupils and students of the orchestra, in addition to traditional concerts, participate in creative vacations in Switzerland and exchange of knowledge with students from Mozarteum - Salzburg - Austria, which opens the way to the world music scene.

With the support of professional musicians, the young orchestra members are the basis of the annual interactive radio festival "TRIMONTIADA", which festival also has successful, larger international events of the Ancient Theater - Plovdiv.

So, on June 12 at 7 pm you will enjoy the performances of the youngest soloists of the Frank Martin Players Orchestra, namely Tedi Hristeva - violin, Todor Georgiev - violin and viola, Amelia Stanchev - violin and viola, Lev Aleev - cello.

They will be assisted by their music director Yulia Pulieva - violin and her colleagues Nikola Nikolov - cello, Gergana Chukleva - viola and Mina - a young violist from the Sofia Music School. Chamber works by Frank Martin, Tchaikovsky, Schubert, Borodin and Hugo Volvo will be performed.

You are welcome to encourage the young talents of Plovdiv with your applause.

In case of bad weather the concert will take place in the First Studio of Radio Plovdiv!
