On April 14, RIM Plovdiv opens two exhibitions dedicated to Georgi S. Rakovski

On April 14, 2021, the Regional History Museum - Plovdiv will open two exhibitions organized as part of the jubilee celebration of the 200th anniversary of the birth of Georgi Stoykov Rakovski.

From 11.30 am near the monument to the great revivalist in Tsar Simeon's Garden will be opened the exhibition. Twenty boards trace the life and work of the founder and first leader of the Bulgarian national liberation movement.

The second exhibition will be opened at 12.30 pm in the exposition "Bulgarian Revival" at 1 Tsanko Lavrenov Street in Old Plovdiv. Highlights are the original sword of Georgi Stoykov Rakovski, owned by the Regional Historical Museum - Ruse and the plastic anthropological reconstruction of his face, created by Professor Yordan Yordanov and owned by the Institute of Experimental Morphology, Pathology and Anthropology with a museum at BAS. Visitors will have the opportunity to see interesting exhibits from the fund of the Regional History Museum - Plovdiv, including a coffer in which Rakovski carried his luggage, personal belongings of his adjutant Branislav Veleshki, as well as personal belongings of Dr. Rashko Petrov - doctor in the First Bulgarian Legion.

The exhibitions will be exhibited in the months of April - May. The exhibition in the exposition "Bulgarian Revival" at 1 Tsanko Lavrenov Street can be viewed until the end of June.
