Municipal Institute "Ancient Plovdiv" with an invitation to an exhibition
The pandemic situation, in December 2020, transformed the traditional forum "Light and Hope in the Old Town". All events were broadcast on the Internet. From 04.01.2021 the sites of Municipal Institute "Ancient Plovdiv" are open and the exhibition "Contemporary Plovdiv mosaic", which was presented virtually, can be viewed until 31.01.2021 in Balabanov house (deep hall).

The presented authors are: Anastasia Kmetova, Arshak Tzhikyan, Vladimir Damyanov, Vaska Atanasova, Vyacheslav Esenkov, Damyan Damyanov, Dimitar Kirov, Irena Yancheva, Kristina Kutlova, Kolyo Mishev, Krum Sharankov, Marko Tomov, Nikola Vladikov, Stamat Ivanov, as well as works by the art fund of National High School of Arts "Tsanko Lavrenov".

In order to emphasize their respect for the mosaic heritage of Plovdiv, to present the modern Plovdiv mosaic school, the Association of Bulgarian Mosaicists, together with the Municipal Institute "Old Plovdiv", present a remarkable exhibition curated by Krum Sharankov. A special accent in the exhibition is the work "Rhodope Saga" by the famous maestro Dimitar Kirov.
The exhibition is with free admition, opening hours from 9:00 to 17:30 (no day off). The access is in strict compliance with the anti-epidemic measures introduced in the country.
