The event - a musical and poetic evening 'Plovdiv - European Capital of Culture' is dedicated to cultural programme of the city under the hills, which unique historical development and multicultural atmosphere has been continuing from antiquity – VIth century BC to the present day.
Using the exquisiteness of the poetic form, students from the Aleko Konstantinov Primary School in Plovdiv will recreate moments from the historical landmarks of the city, both presented and played, based on poems, written by local poetess Vangelia Atanasova from her book 'Lyrical Guide to Plovdiv.'
The students' etude performance and fine musical accompaniment will call the legend of Rhodope and Hebros to come to life and remain in the hearts of young people. The purpose of the event is through the means of art, the recreated historical reality to be emotionally experienced and presented to the public and to the guests of the city.
