The Christmas tree in front of the Plovdiv municipality was lit exactly on December 1, as has been the tradition for years. Its lights were lit by the mayor Zdravko Dimitrov, and his assistants were Santa Claus, the children from the Plovdiv Boys Choir "Stefka Blagoeva" at CPLR - Municipal Children's Complex - Plovdiv with conductor Milka Toledova, musical accompaniment by Yulia Petrova and the little dancers from the ensemble "Dilyanka " with artistic director Maria Kyoseva. The space around the Christmas tree was filled with little dwarfs, children and parents, whom the rain did not manage to scare.

This is the first event that the Municipality of Plovdiv organizes for Plovdiv residents and guests of the city on the occasion of the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays. Santa Claus will entertain young and old again on the holidays - December 24, 25, 26, 27 and 29, when there will traditionally be a rich musical program on the open stage in front of the municipality.
